'It’s Your Funeral'

Our long-running ‘It’s Your Funeral’ campaign uses humour to open up a traditionally difficult topic, making pre-planning a funeral feel more approachable and human. Each ad explores the same question – what would you do differently if you had the chance to pre-arrange your funeral?

In our most recent iteration, ‘Ghost Hands’, we brought the idea to life by asking a ghost! The campaign gained international recognition, featuring on Best Ads on TV and Ads of the World.

A more human experience

In 2026, we delivered a complete redesign of the William Barrett & Sons website. While we had originally designed the previous site a number of years ago, as Barretts often say, “to stand the test of time, good things change with it”.

Recognising a shift in their audience –with users becoming younger, more digitally confident, and seeking different kinds of support – we created a site that was not only easy to use during the hardest of times, but also a space people could turn to for advice, resources, and answers to their questions.

Supporting service

Each year, we develop a new suite of materials to support William Barrett & Sons in delivering their annual remembrance and memorial services across the South West.

Each service is thoughtfully centred around a unique theme, exploring different aspects of loss, grief and reflection.

Improving death literacy

A long-term goal of William Barrett & Sons is to improve death literacy within the South West community. They approach this through a range of initiatives, most notably hosting quiz nights and seminars that encourage open, down-to-earth conversations about end-of-life planning.

We support these events by creating a suite of promotional materials, including artwork, posters, flyers and social media assets.
