Christmas Island

We initially partnered with Christmas Island to refresh their existing logo. Through the process, we uncovered a broader need for a more connected tourism identity across the island. Branding was inconsistent across websites, social channels and visitor-facing spaces, creating an opportunity to unify the experience under a cohesive visual system.

What we did

  • Branding
  • Print
  • Signage

A logo suite inspired by migration and movement

We created both a new Christmas Island visitor brand and a dedicated logo for the Christmas Island Tourism Association. While the association identity uses the CITA initialism, both brands are connected through a shared whale shark pattern, Bosun Bird cut out and a bold, consistent typography style. Inspired by the island’s famous marine life and crab migrations, the identity system is flexible, distinctive and instantly recognisable.

A flexible identity for a unique destination

To support the rollout, we developed a comprehensive style guide covering typography, colour and brand application. Designed to be both practical and adaptable, the system ensures consistency across all collateral while giving the brand room to evolve.

A destination brand built to be seen

We extended the identity across a range of marketing collateral, including trade show pull-up banners, postcards, t-shirts and water bottles. Each piece was designed to be bold, functional and recognisable – helping the brand show up consistently while promoting the island across tourism and lifestyle channels.
